“Two guitars, two voices- simple!” ‘Gut and Steel’ is Andy Collett and Mark Duxbury performing as an acoustic guitar based duo- the name deriving from the stringing of the instruments rather than the relative sizes or demeanours of the participants!

They perform songs from the 1960’s to the present, playing too: classical, flamenco and jazz instrumentals.

Andy had a well-loved, steel-strung electro-acoustic guitar, Mark didn’t! So he bought a nylon- strung, electro- acoustic which he believed would be kinder to his hands. The discovery was made that the two instruments combined with songs rather as cheese and pine- apple combine with burgers enjoyed by the bands when Bournemouth way.
